St. John Hospital and Medical Center™s Department of Pediatrics Residency Program
All candidates must be either a US citizen, carry a J-1 or H-1B visa, or have permanent resident status (green card). Approximately 40-50% of our residents are IMGs.

Dear friends,please explain this.Can ECFMG give us a J1 or H1b visa in this case or there is no use applying here

i think ecfmg sponsors only J1

Yes,I am talking about detroit,MI program.Candidate should carry a J1 /H1B visa means?

if its H1b means then u must already be doing residency at other places

this was discussed a few days before here.

that means they accept both j1 and h1b visa..ecfmg can sponsor only j1 visa..h1b is sponsored by the program..so u can apply either with j1 or h1b to that particular program..i think if a program offers h1b also means they also ve fellowship programs..
