Normocytic anemia:
Correct for reticulocyte count, how? actual Hct/45 X reticulocyte count. after this see what the % is.
<2% you are dealing with IB-CAR
I= Iron def
B= Blood loss
C= Chronic disease anemia
A= Aplastic
R= Renal disease
>3% could be either Intrinsic/extrinsic RBC defect.
Intrinsic: IMSE, like International Muslim Student Education
I= intrinsic
M= Memberane defectoup + Malaria.
S= Sickle
E= Enzyme def like G6PD and PK
Extrinsic: Hemolytic Malaria==> hemolytic gr
