Exp says antibiotic induced destruction of gut flora----reduced production of vit k2(menaquinone)----effect on clotting factors ---so decreased competetive inhibition.

hi selinity,i think its trying to say that warfarin is vit k antagonist,
ceftriaxone is broad spectrum eats up nl flora and less vit k wil be formed
as it is made by gut flora.so further less formation of vit k dependent factors
and enhancing of warfarin effect, though competitve antagonism is decreased.
