This is very good program

But not IMG friendly

All of their residents are AMGs from Tulane, Louisiana, GWU...

how do u know it is not IMG friendly?

Last year, when I interviewed here, I asked the PD if LSU have out prematches. He said to me "NO". However, LSU has a new PD becuase the old one was asked to start up a new LSU program elsewhere in LA. I'm not sure what the new PD's view on prematches is. Interestingly enough, last year, LSU sent out interviews on Oct 27th (at least mine was sent on this date).

As the PD mentioned to me last year, LSU-NO has always been IMG friendly. 9/10 interns this year are IMG's (to the best of my knowledge). Like almost every program in the US, LSU has a preference for AMG's. However, this is not always possible and you end up taking the best you can regardless of where they are from.

One more thing. After the hurricane, the program had to downsize. However, the program has pretty much recovered and is looking to expand. I'm not sure what their expansion goals are.
