i'm so confuse with syphilis treatment regimens.
what is the latest recommendation regimens for
primary,secondary,early latent and late latent syphilis???

penilicin all the way,,if allergic use erythromycin,,in pregnant pt with allegery to pen, you need to desentitize and use penicilin,

Pennicillin single dose for primary,secondary and latent < 1year
Pennicillin 1 dose each week for 3 weeks for latent > 1 year and late syphilis

but Kaplan told
single dose for primary
1 dose each week for 3 weeks for secondary and latent

primary secondary and tertiary all treated with penicillin but remember this...
primary and secondary treated with IM therapy if allergic to penicillin in primary and secondary then give doxycycline for primary and secondary
tertiary is treated with IV penicillin and if allergic still penicillin but desensitize
pregnant desensitize
