As iam going to apply for step 3, for this i would like to know if i want to do residency in newyork then for this will i have to take newyork licence first or i cant apply for connecticut.does connecticut licence will work for newyork residency or not.I graduated in 98 and passed step 1 and 2 and ecfmg certified.This is a silly q but as i dont know so iam asking.

Your question is unclear. If you're trying to ask if you can take step 3 with a Ct registraion, i believe the answer is yes. However, you'll likely need to get a NY license for your residency. so...it depends what your program requirements are. I think people go for the CT reg. because it is faster... Do others agree with that?
