varicella after spleenectomy. - ximfoom

can someone explain the reason. it is someones exam quest.
i m just confused that what could be the best choice to pick in exam, although i dont know the options.
is it reduced t lymphocytes or there should be some othre choices

The varicella enters through the resp syst and colonizes the URT. The virus initially replicates in the regional lymph nodes; 4-6 days later, a primary viremia spreads the virus to reticuloendothelial cells in the spleen, liver, and elsewhere. In d spleen the phagocytes remove debris, virus n other foreign matter.Lymphocytes also help in fighting infection but d pahagocytes deal more with microscopic organisms like viruses

After a week, a secondary viremia disseminates the virus to the viscera and skin, eliciting the typical skin lesions.
