Time limit to complete CS - rajamiyer

Hi,

I did the Step-1 in 1999. Started working in the UK. Did step-2 CK in 2006 (within the 7 year). I haven't done the step-2 CS yet. Is there a time limit to complete and get ECFMG certificate.

I don't intend to do residency in USA. May come to US for a fellowship in my speciality for 6 months.

Hi rajamiyer ,

I have almost same situation like you ,i did step 1in 05 & step 2 in 99. I wrote to Ecfmg regarding certification.They replied that anyone who passed one step before 2004, july does not fall in the rules of completing step 2 cs in 7 yrs period .So if u can complete your cs u can have your certifications . You can find this in Ecfmg web site in connection to certification requirment .
