hi mirt,
to answer ur q, its very uncommonn to see the involvement of the renal arteries in aaa. The common presentation is infrarenal. the importance of looking for renals in the aaa management, is to decide abt the evar or open repair. well dissection can extend into the renals some times... any ways if u suspect renal involvement, look for signs like u expect for renal artery stenosis, bruit, woresening creatinine or worsening nuclear scan with ace inhibitor challenge etc. the involvement of renals mostly diagnosed at the radiology investigation level but not in the clinical exam. this is my understanding on this.
