Research Job in Psychiatry - childpsych

Clinical Research Coordinators needed to work full time on studies of the biological effects of stress and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in veterans and other traumatized populations in a high profile, cutting edge clinical research division.

Candidates will be responsible for all aspects of data collection and management. This includes advertising and recruiting subjects, collecting data from subjects, study document maintenance, and Institutional Review Board correspondence. Data collection may involve the collection of urine, blood and saliva samples.

There will be patient contact, thus, candidate must become familiar with all research protocols of PTSD, as well as being competent in the specific procedures involved in those protocols. Specific duties will include preparing data to present the Director in both written and oral format; and assisting the Director with journal submissions.



Candidates should have a BA or BS in psychology, and/or biological sciences, as well as good computer skills (SPSS knowledge is a plus), and excellent interpersonal skills. Two year commitment is preferred. Research is conducted at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center.
