I felt that NBME 2 had a better correlation than NBME 3 . . . well at least for me . . . meaning it was on target.

But, I've talked to american med students in person and they say NBME 3 is a better correlation.

anyway, your mileage or results may vary because everyone is different.

i just did the nbme form 2 downloaded nbme and had less correct ones than on the form 3. since i dont have a correlation as to what the score could be, i really dont know how to interpret my results.

do you know about how many correct ones do you have to have to score above 90.

i know this is all speculation... but do you have any idea?

thanks for your response.

i'll refer you to the official site with correlation

https://apps.nbme.org/nsasweb/doc/sample_CBSSA.pdf

now there is a calculation for the correct ones, but I don't know it off hand . . . use the search function . . . I think BUT don't hold me to it . . . it's your correct answers in all 4 blocks X 1.5. I think that will give you equivalent 3 digit score . . . then compare that to CBSSA score on the .pdf . . .

don't rely heavily on the NBME score because some others say it's a horrible predictor . . .

like I said your mileage may vary . . .

in the end just make sure you improve your weaknesses shown by your nbme performance.
