no we can have vaccination against strep, remember pt who under goes spleenctomy are given vaccinetn against encapsulated organisms and streptococcus is one of them, it is said that it may elicit protective immunity by stimulating previously existing reactive cells formed in response to previous infection of normal flora cross reactivities

thanks whatzup, i heard a question about this, came in a friends test, why streptococcal vaccine is not used,
thanks for pointing out the vaccination for splenectomy patients,

sorry i didnt got the vaccine thing. you mean that the immunity to strepto is given by croos reactions produce by the immunity they got from the vaccine. but it's not the vaccine itself that gives directly immunity to strepto?so this is why the immunity is for capsulated in general?thanks
