Dear seniors,
I am a new member on this forum and would like to ask you that if I wish to give Part2 CK before part1 (as its a long time since I left my medical school)... Is it a good idea?
If I decide to give part 2CK, what are the books/courses I am supposed to do?
Is there any free material available on net form practice?

Yes you can take Step 2 before Step 1; however, I advise you take Step 1 first.
For CK books: CRUSH STEP 2, MOCK EXAM FOR USMLE STEP 2 and NMS REVIEW FOR USMLE STEP 2, MKSAP FOR STUDENTS. If you use these books you'll need a reference like Merck Manual or CMDT.
Other options are KAPLAN NOTES or Blueprints.
These are the most popular.
QBANK and USMLEWORLD are good practice questions.

take step one first. if you've been out of school for long then all the more reason to brush up on your basic sciences. I think the only folks who should take step 2 first are clinicians who are constantly exposed to different medical cases. If not then you need the basic sciences as the foundation.
