I have got 87 and 86 for Step 1 and Step.
ECFMG certified.
Waiting for 2005 match.
Do I stand a chance of Categorical General Surgery ?
I m a British Grad of 2002.

How about Categorical ?
If I get into Prelim, does it mean I have to apply for position year after year ?
And if that's the case, it means I m trained in different places each year and the structure of my training would be haywire.. isn it ?

I don't think that you are very likely to get what you are looking for. Prelim is a posssiblity though.

no way you need 90"s in the usa to get into these programs. look into IM or GP good luck

Not true. U stand a good chance for Surgery esp with your UK background.
