from B1 / B2 status to get EAD before the visit visa expires ?

EAD can be based on J2 visa, asylum status, pending I 485 (adjustment of status after your immigration petition is approved) etc. But base on B1/B2, I have never heard of it.

is there any other alternative way to change B1 /B2 visa in order to legalise the stay in the US other than extend visit visa ? any input plz
