I received my contract from the hospital i matched , it says that the contract is for one year only and next year is not gauranteed and depends on the decision of PD and educational comittee decision though i am matched for categorical . i am just bit worried .
Is this how the contracts are set normally ??

yes its normal. The contracts are renewed annually depending upon your performance. Are u applying for any visa?

yes i am applying for H1 B visa

i am worried because in my contract latter it mention jul08 - june09 . then how many years would i get the visa ????

do u have a SSN right now? If not then they will issue u one year visa and u ll have to renew it next year. Hop this helps

SSN is Social Security Number
