is it worth converting f1 visa to j1 in the USA ,i am currently on a f 1 visa here and wnated to know if its possible to convert to j1 withtin the time frame in the usa if we have to start residnecy by 1st july??
ALso do we need to take a appoitment wiht the us ambassy in canada for this process

Check the processing time at your service center for change of status.
Yes you will have to take an appointment if planning to get it done from canada.
