Please need help as to restriction/descrimination on +ve HBsAG for IM/Neurology Residency.I have been working for 3 years in Europe and l have had no Problem practicing as an MD.I am moving with my fAmily to the states and applying for 2005.I was born with Hep B.Could any one help me by sharing his/her experience.I would be greatful.Need to know about any restriction/rejections and discrimination in getting a residency spot.Thanks a lot.

Discrimination on the basis of disease, esp something you were born with, is totally wrong. I think you should be OK, they don't test or ask if you have Hep B, etc...

If they ever deny you a position on the basis of your Hep B status, you chouls challenge them in court. Any civilized court would rule in your favour.
