peds

hi - peds is considered less competitive coz of the money factor in the long run. IM train you in many procedures that u can use later in ur career to charge more from the insurance company. IM has more fellowships available than in peds. People don't like dealing with children and opt for IM. But if u r family oriented want to concentrate on family life and career as well i feel peds is good. As well you will be working with children all the time that can just be fun for some. Starting Peds & IM get the same pay but in the long run IM has more money and Peds has more satisfaction atleast from my point of view. Hope that helps - GL

thanks a lot friends, for ur responses....

img ,
I think what "peds " meant was that people opting for general peds earn less than IM but I have heard that if they specialise in sthg like neonatology they would earn more.....

thanks again everyone.
