The "scramble" was coined when potential candidates failed to match to the programs of their choice. This scramble begins after "match day" when everyone finds out whether they matched or not , not where but if they did. During the scramble thousands and thousands of candidates fight, claw and scavenge for the few hundred positions available. If you have not received any interviews or had lousy interviews, it is best to prepare for the scramble. Get a few friends to help you call programs. Use fax machines and you can even use ERAS. Scramble and get a position in any field.
