well glossopharyngeal gives taste to post part of tongue.. vagus doesnt.
sensory portion of gag is via 9th nv. motor component is via 10th nv. unilateral absense of gag reflex.......... 9th nv lesion if uvula and palate and pulled to one side, means opp side 9th & 10th both damage... (Unopposed pull of normal side)
