Which of the following cell types initiates the repair mechanism neccessary to resolve the proteinuria and hematuria in strep glomerulonephritis?
1. erythrocytes
2. juxtaglomerular cells
3. mesangial cells
4. plasma cells
5. polkissen (whats that??)
6. proximal tubule epithelial cells

In the answers that I downloaded from forum it says mesangial cells, but I actually think its tubular epithelial cells. Could not find clear info on that.

i think its mesangial cells because in poststrep disease immuncomplexes deposit in mesangial cell region.

Hi everyone! I think that fusion of podocite is the problem of liking of protein so podocite it related with mesangial cells.
