which is the best pharma book??? - sandy4usmle
#1
Hi am in the 1st year and consequently did not take a pharma course yet. What I am conserned about is, what kind of book could you advice me? There are couple of which are considered to be excellent for general pharmacology classes. And before you order any summary such as BRS or Clin. Vignettes for your USMLE prep, you must make sure that you have the basics of your pharma seminars from med school, right?
Our professor advices us to order one of the following options:
Goodman & Gilman Pharm, or
Lippincott (Illustrated review pharma), or
Principles of Pharma: Pathophysiologic basis of drug therapy, or
Modern Pharmacology with Clinical Applications, or even
Katzung &Trevor's Pharmacology: Examination and Board Review (Lange; 2007 ed).

Does anyone of you have any experience with those book(s)? Which one covers best the stuff you have to know for usmle exam?

Please comment, guys..........
