Thanks pmle, ahiney, and drkyhasan, I know the source of this qs and the given answer correlate with shiney and drkyhasan explanations.

Are we suppose to calculate the proba he could marry some one who is homozygous then chances they'll have a child with the disesase are = .5 * .001= .005
so the overall probability then would be .045+.005=.05


I mean what is the answer to this qs?
