the answer in the key is A. the pt. has very high TGL, which is most common causes are alcoholism and diabetes.since her DM is under control, alcohol cessation wil b the right choice.gemfibrozil is used mainly 2 raise HDL, but she has a healthy level. hypothyroidism is also a cause for hypercholesterolemia but her TSH level is below the upper normal limit of 5.
