PLEASE EXPLAIN ME!!!!!!!!!!!


a male infant of an africo american female has failed to pass meconium 24 hours after birth.on examination he is found to have a dimple instead of the anal opening.
this condition will most likely be associated with?

1 tracheo esophageal fistula
2 vertebral abnormalities
3 urinary tract devlopment
4 heart abnormalities

i want to apply the VATER AND VACTERL principle but im not getting to an answer as 1 2 and 6 are all included in VATER

yes
abnormalities of the ano rectal region like rectal atresia can result in fistulas to the bladder >>> abnormalities in the urinary tract development.

the 1st thing i will do to solve such q is relate it to a syndrome (which is VATER in this case). keeping that in mind i wud want to opt for either 1 , 2 or 6

PLEASE TELL ME YAAR WHY WUD U THINK OF C ON 1ST THOUGHT?

too many things in the option for VATER so think non-VATER.
Urinary abnormalities are associated with anal/rectal atresia
