A question about board certification in CAF....... - jayhind

Hi all

I would like to know if we can mention our state medical council of back home in board ceritficatrion section?
Is this ection only for American Graduates?

Would appreciate your inputs?

u can mention your home country membership and board certification ...why not after all you are coming from a system...............

"Board certification is a voluntary process that a physician undergoes to assure the public that he or she has successfully completed an approved educational program and the appropriate examinations to practice in a particular specialty or sub-specialty."
This is not the same as medical license or state medical council license. It means you are a specialist that passed a test to be called that.

So according to the definition we can not write our state medical council of home country...

But in India we are eligible to practice as MBBS after our medical school. We are not specialist though....

So what is the conclusion? should we write our state med council or not?
