anyone know how to get into research - nisa

hi i am a immigrant from india and i
live in madison wi.i just passed my step one and got a score of 77/189.i have a work permit ,and i want to get in some research jobs around this area ,but dont know how to proceed.can someone tell.

or does anybody know of some clinical ob servership.

regarding that research u should see the post by biosearch below.or keep googling or keep searching social networking websites,check other forums,post topics everywhere u can.

as far as observership is concerned its damn tough to get unless u got contacts. there is the Mt Sinai observership but they need 80+ scores in atleast 1 step.most of other observerships like cleveland,udmnj, florida university need ecfmg certificate.

i know this much.dont know how useful it is to u.at least this is how i am procceding these days for observership.

one thing you can try --if you haven't done so already-- is visit the local medical univ depts and simply ask the director or coordinator. Send out emails, knock on their doors, etc .. don't stop trying. GL
