I noticed many guys here are asking "How is the program?" after they got IV calls.

How did you apply for it if you did not know it is good or not? Did you do any research b4 sending out your applications and MONEY? Once you applied, that means you are willing to accept offer if you can get one. Or you just want to test your market value by throwing out many $25s?

I think I can speak for a few others (hopefully) when I say the question is to get a general feel of the hospital you will be visiting. Websites and emails to staff offer only so much information. I would want to get as much information as possible from others who may have had personal experiences there.

In general, I believe every residency program has set standards, and there is no such thing as a 'good' or 'bad' (highly doubt that) program. There are programs that are superior, but I think we all would have heard of those. In most situations, don't meet their requirements/ preference for amg's.
