Illinois programs consider Psychiatry exp for IM - visual

I applied to so many programs in IL state IM programs. But, none invited me.

Someone has told me that Illinois Int. Medicine residency programs consider Psychiatry internship experience for short listing IM residency interviews.

Is that true?

I applied to almost all programs in IL, but haven 't heard from one. My credentials 83/96, CS await, Visa required. Feel like wasted money.
