bipolar 1 only hypomaniac or maniac attacks,
bipolar 2 episodes of mania and depression.

Bipolar 1-predominantly mania for at least one week
Bipolar 2-Hypomania alternating with major depression
Rapid cycling Bipolar-At least four episodes of mania or major depression or both in a year

well her eis what i understand...

BIPOLAR-I ~ it could be just pure MANIA or MIXED ( Mania plus Maj Depressions )
BIPOLAR-II ~ hypomania and major depression

any one wants to define them....

Schizophreniform and Schizoaffective.... Sad
Schizoid and Schizotypal..... Sad


Breavement and Brief reactive psychosis.... Sad
Post traumatic stress disorder and Post traumatic stress syndrome...are they the same????

ANYONE WANTS TO DEFINE ALL THE ABOVE !!!!!

actually we need to learn the difference between..

**bereavement and adjustment disorder**

so adjustment d isorder..identifiable social stressor but response is way out of proportion to the stressor! ocuurs within 3 mths lasts not more than 6 mths
Bereavement...identifiable stressor, respose is consistent with the stressor/loss of loved one, lasts less than 1 year.

** PTSD and acute stress disorder (ASD) **

PTSD & ASD : dentifiable trauma in both (flashback, avoidance, autonomic arousal)
PTSD greater than 1 month
ASD lessthan one month.
