waived LORs- u have not seen them, so ur sure the LOR writer woud write good stuff, carries more weightage. waive it if ur sure abt ur performance n writer.
Disadvantage- ERAS destroys the letter after match, coz u waived ur rite to see them, u can not use it for next match season/ obship application. Not waived LOR- u have seen the LOR, u knw it has good things wriiten, carries lil less weightage. Dnt waive if ur not sure abt ur performance and letter writer. advantage- u get it back from eras, can use it for next match. A Good lor is good..irrespective of waived or not waived. I dnt think it makes much difference. Hope it helps.

if it is irrespective of waived or not waived, then i dont know why ERAS made those 2 categories.. there must be a meaning behind it... anyone else?

thanks guys..
I could deduct that a waived LOR is ' heavier' as you say.. but my point is HOW heavy is it and does it REALLY matter? do program directors pay attention to this? AMGs seem to talk about waived and non-waived a LOT more than us... |
