feeling stupid and helpless - drkiru

Hi all,
I am have trying to write step 1 for few years and am feeling frustrated. I feel that if i study i can get on with it but the problem is i am too distracted.
I am almost addicted to internet and everyday will think that i will not waste time but by the end of the day, am back in the same position.

I often read the postings of so many others, who under extreme difficulties, like having a full time job and with families and kids, get the will to sit and study. And i feel stupid that i am not having that same strength to do it.

I know my family is suffering and i am suffering because of this and am still unable to change. I study on and off and feel good when i study but once i get distracted, i waste a lot of time.

I am sorry that i am unloading my personal problem here but just wanted to share this with you all kind people and open up my self, as i did not share this with any till now.

I am making a resolve today to try to get back and take control of my life and hope i too can post my exam experience with pride one day here.

hey kiran , belive me i am on the same page like u, i thought lote of times to go on ritalin but the best way is to have a study partner online or live, which will help u motivated and focused, lot of people have the same problem, leave me ur email address and write me what subjects u have done so far and when u r planning to take the exam, and where do u live u mean in US or in INDIA.

u r exact replica of me ,a few hours back felt soooooooo depressed after thinkinking about me,and just to change me sat infront of the pc and i felt like me ,wheni saw ur post.
i have even paid for my exam today ,so i shouldn't do this(wasting time) from tommarrow.
hope we both will achieve our dreams,not only for us,but for our families too.

I worked two jobs to keep me hand to mouth and finally i changed to PRN ( as needed) in one of those. Believe me how bad is the feeling that i have no time to study for it despite having potential to do it. Those who have time to study are very very lucky people. Please make full use of it. You may not have time to do this in future.

When I read your post, I felt as if I wrote it word for word. I guess there is many of us out there in the same situation.

And to add to your post: IT WEIGHS SO MUCH. Doesnt it?

But we have to find the strength from somewhere, to move forward. Life keeps passing by, peoples lives move on, and we are still "SUSPENDED IN TIME".

Pray, for strength, for peace, and for an open mind. And sit your butt to do questions even if u dont know the answer, read the explanations. Even if u only do 25 a day, b4 u know it u will be doing 50. And before u know it, u will have done more than u ever imagined.

But honestly nothing is going to work, until you snap out of this. And I guess in telling you I am telling myself as well. We need to get out of this TRANCE, and move forward.

We need to move on, because IT WEIGHS SO MUCH,......I understand U completely, as some others in the forum may as well.

But we just have to go out and do it, it will happen and it will all Be, If You want it. If u believe it, it will Be. But if U(I as well) DO NOT DO YOUR PART. U(We) will continue to be exactly where U (we) are, "SUSPENEDED IN TIME".

May God guide you and help u find the strength within you to overcome all ur obstacles.

there's a story in the bible about the 'talents' which God gives us. whatever talents He gives us,He tells us to utilise it and reproduce more out of it.. and If we dont utilise it, it will be taken away from us and be given to ppl who utilise it them.what good does it do if a person doesnt utilise it rt? whatever benefits,facilities,opportunities we have ,we gotto utilise them at the right time in a right way and He will bless us with more determination and strength to go on with life. work hard! no time for idleness in our preparation rt now,so we must move on.. that parable kind of scares me when i waste time, and drives me forward..gl to u and believe in God and urself that u can do this.
