If the initial letter of invite that came thru ERAS states u have been selected to interview for IM residency postion and the subsequent letters from the same program states you will be interviewing for an internship. Meanwhile I applied to that program for categorical position.
Any one know why and do people interview for just intership yet are not for prelim.

internship = 1st yr categorical

i think its the same thing. you can just call the hospital to clarify.

The first year of any residency program is called internship. So dont worry you are interviewing for the catgorical only

thanks alot,i was begining to worry what that meant. Cos i remember during the interview,one of the interviewers said i was interviewing for internship.
It will be bad if i got in and after a yr i am kicked out
