Waldenstr,s macroglobulinemia - mamamia
#1
Hyperviscosity in Waldenstr,s Macroglobulinemia is due to:
1. few RBC
2.few platelets
3.exsess amount of Ig M antibody

3 I would pick.
In Waldenstrom's the malignant cells are hybrids of B lymphocytes and plasma cells, not just pure plasma cells as in MM. Majority of the symphtoms in WM are due to the paraprotien JgM.

answer 3

low RBC in W.Macroglobulinamie =anemia
low Platelets=bleeding and easy brusing, retinal vien bleeding
Infiltration and overproduction of plasma cells=big lever, big splen.big lymph nodes
Plasma cells produse Ig M antibody.Ig M overproduction couses thickening of the blood=hyperviscosity
