MedStar Research Institute is the research arm for MedStar Health, providing scientific, administrative and regulatory support for research programs that complement the key clinical services and teaching programs in all eight hospitals in the MedStar Health system.
The Institute is actively seeking qualified applications for a Clinical Research Assistant at our MedStar Clinical Research Center located in Washington DC.
The focus of this position is to provide administrative and research support to assist with the implementation and coordination of clinical trials at the MCRC.
Duties include:
 Assists clinical research coordinators with the preparation and management of administrative and regulatory documents.
 Assists with protocol activities including preparation and administration of informed consent, patient flow, data collection and recording of data.
 Assists with subject recruitment, including design and implementation of recruitment strategies for clinical trials.
 Assists in maintaining the required records of study activities including case report forms and regulatory documents.
 Maintains clinic patient database and prospective patient database for recruitment tracking.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor™s degree or Certified Medical Assistant preferred
Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a clinical research assistant preferred;
Computer skills: word processing, spread sheets, and database applications required
