It is passive flexion of the foot to elicit pain in the calf. If pt has pain with flexion, Homan's sign is positive which means higher suspicion of DVT .
It is doubtful that SPs will have this test in their checklist but you never know...

You mean dorsiflexion?Do we have to put our hands on pt's calf during the manuever
