MVA Pt with classical symptoms of fat embolism (on first night after surgery of comminuted femur #), most appropriate initial step in mgmt:

1. sytemic thrombolytic
2. heparin drip
3. Immobilise # appropriately
4. prednisone
5. no specific therapy required
