Chronic pancreatitis most likely has a deficiency in which of the following:
A) Amylase
B) Bile Salts
C) Cholecystokinin
D) Insulin
E) Lipase
F) Secretin
I think its E or F. Anyone have any explanation? Thanks..

E. LIpase. i guess that in case of Chronic pancreatitis Both Insulin ( endocrine...> diabetes)) AND Lipase ( excorine...> steatorrhea) are defective, if i have to choose one of them i think that LIpase is the best option.

baby doc please next time try to post the ENTIRE Q.
Hydodoc you are true in case of chronic pancreatisis Insulin is also decreased, but in this Q they mention that Glucose is around 1.30.with fecal fat diet 11 ( normal =6) + foul smelling stool etc etc.
the answer is Lipase ( steatorrhea, decrease BMI with normal glucose 1.30. and normal d xylose test.).

il also go with Lipase....supplemental digestive lipase in meds.
