does hashimoto and postpartum both come under it

is it like postprtum lymphicytic is jus associated with thyrotoxicoiss self limiting wihout hypothyroidism later??/

I know hashimoto's for sure... will have to check for post partum .....
is it hypr or hyper
will check and get back..........or if anyone else has any inputs

as per Kaplan, As u may know etialogy and pathogenesis of postpartum lymphocitic thyroiditis is un known. It is a kind of transient Hyper Thy which goes away.

But (I think as per emedicine) post partum tyroi is considered as a possible part of spectrum which eventually leads to Hashimoto (Hyper...> euo....>Hypo). This is surprising because Hashi has known auto immune association compared to no etialogy given by Kaplan

So my feeling is this: Link with Hashi if antimicrosomal or other antibodies a given & don't link it with hashi if not given.

(double check if like, because the above are just remembered statements)
