You can work in underserved area to get the J1 waiver done as a pathologist.

danille, the underserved area could be like a VA hospital ? do you know someone who has done this ? Are these kind of jobs easily available ?

Yeah, underserved area can be a VA in a big city. When I went for my fellowship interview, one attending is on J1 visa serving the VA. YOu don't have to go to a remote area to work as a J1 holder for sure.
