false positives is the price you pay for screening follow up with
a confirmation test and you can bill for two office visits everybody wins.

According to FA high sensitivity is desirable for a screening test whereas high specificity is desirable for a confirmatory test. In a highly lethal dz you'd definitly want your screening to have a high sensitivity so to decrease the false negatives (makes sense, cause you don't want to tell a patient he doesn't have the lethal disease when in fact he does have it). Therefore I pick 1, sensitivity, for the answer.

for screening you want a very sensitive test and for confiming a Dx you want a very specific test. For instance,take HIV
ELISA vs. WESTERN BLOT
