has anyone been to texas tech el paso IM interviews yet this year? any info?

i was there last week. there were 4 applicants. IV starts w/ morning conference. then PC will get you. very sweet lady. IV is conducted by PD and sometimes the Chairman,both will ask medical q's. then lunch and noon conference followed by hospital tour by one resident. last IV will be from a resident. so total of 2-3 people doing the interviews on that day. we were out by 3 pm. airport and hotel are really very accessible from the hospital. hope this helps.

when you say medical questions...like do they ask about a case you had or do they give you a vignette and ask you to diagnose and treat...?
just seems like a strange way to interview someone...

in my case, PD asked usual personal questions. talked about my family,etc. then towards the end just went to say that he will ask me something medical. then proceeded to give me a case. asked what i thought and how to manage. conversation was free flowing. very pleasant man. non-threatening at all. IV lasted about 20-25 min. GL to you!
