how do youdistiguish between CMV retinitis and HSV ? how do they describe the lessions?

CMV.......floaters without pain.......fundoscopic.....yellow granular lesions with edema and hemorrhage no necrosis

HSV wud present as acute retinal necrosis.......floaters with pain.........fundoscope.....white peripheral lesions with necrosis...........

the patient may also have HSV keratitis
