Hello friends,
I just stumbled upon this forum and went through some of the posts. I hope someone here, will be able to help me with my question.
I am here in NYC and have been avidly looking for research which can take care of my visa and expenses for the next season (post doctoral fellowship). What i understand from my search till now is that the post doctoral fellowship positions are specific for the basic laboratory research and the faculty research which are undertaken by faculty members of the clinical departments do not have positions for post doctoral fellowship.
Do these clinical research going on in departments can still hire you to work with them or do you have to apply for the post doctoral positions which are always in laboratories. For example Columbia university has hundreds of clinical research going on in each department but these research do not post for post doctoral fellowship.
Basically i am totally confused how to approach, whom to approach??
Any advice is highly appreciated.
