explain please, I remember CD4 increases in granuloma, or is it means increased CD4 in tissue and decreases from circulation?

Granuloma formation is due to cell mediated immunity, and the cell resposable are macrophage and lymphocytes. HIV pt wont form granulomas due to decrese number of lymphocites. Correct me if am I wrong.
