Hi friends,

From these fields, how would you rank the difficulty to get in terms of getting in:

IM
Peds
IM/Peds
Neurology
Psych
Family Med

Comeon friends, it's not an exam or test...but just your opinion ranking from the easiest to hardest to get in...

psych, family med, im/peds,im,peds,neuro ( as you see i don't know...just guessing)...I think im and peds are same though..

the difficulty to get in, is base on the volume of applicants:
these years IM is one of the most competetive ones due to huge number of applicants (IMG&AMG), same as Ped,
Neuro is mostly going to AMGs so it is competetive for IMGs,
psych & family-med have a fair chance for IMGs.
what makes it difficult for FM is the year of graduation, they rather recent grads.
what makes it difficult for psych is the USCE in the psych.

All are difficult and easy at the same time. Most of these programs and the ease or difficulty to get one is mainly candidate centric.
