Well we think it was due to various factors- our CVs (just 4 weeks of USCE), my scores, and applying to the same competitve specialty (IM). Visa-requiring IMGs succeed in IM if both partners have high scores or otherwise impressive profiles...

Yes.. well how many common ivs do you think will be a good indicator of a positive match?

They don't have to be common i.vs. You can rank different programs in the same city too. The safe number of programs is a million-dollar question! Its just like individual match... the perception of how the i.v went is more important than the number of i.vs... even if u have 1 i.v and there is just 1 seat left, if u did well, and they rank u high enough, u will match!
All this said, luck matters a lot too... put in ur ROL tomorrow and hope for the best. Gud luck!
