For those with high scores who were not matched - scrambledegg
#1
If you are an IMG with high scores, and preferably a recent grad, you may have a good chance of getting a post-match interview for an IM program. There is a hospital in Brooklyn NY where they conduct several interviews for people who were not matched. You will see the name of the program once you have your list of unfilled programs. This program will have several available positions during the scramble. It also helps to that you live near or have fam/friends in the NY area. Send your eras materials there immediately and call the program coordinator and tell her your graduation year and good scores with no attempts. This program prefers to interview candidates post-scramble so take advantage of this opportunity. If you call with low scores and some attempts, you are more than likely to be rejected for an interview.

Not sure why you are not mentioning the name. Per NRMP's last year's data, Methodist Hospital is one of those programs. 10 is the quota and 2 & 0 matched. You can give it a shot, but this is one of the programs I had tried to visit last year, but wasn't successful. Don't really know what the pd is looking for. I had Step 1 & 2 in 90s and CS on first attempt with no visa requirements. You can give it a shot, but don't spend money and resources just for this program. If you are already in town, then by all means go visit. Best of luck.
