Some programs have graduation cut off years. But, usually it is 10yrs. Therefore, according to that scale you'ld be fine.

This is sucha minor thing. A lot of programs require not mor then 5 years after graduation.But a lot of them will bend the rule if they see a right candidate.

By the time I will apply for Residency I will be 8 yrs old graduate. Because of family problems I was not able to continue my studies..now that I want to start preparing for steps I am really worried about my chances of finding residency with such a long gap. Is it worth giving a try or I should better start looking for another job. I have no reaserch or job expereince. I have green card.

I have seen people matched with much longer gaps. Go for it!
